My wife and I had the rare opportunity to go to lunch together today, so at Nopalito's, I asked her what she wanted for her birthday, which is coming up soon.
"Nothing too expensive," she said. She thought about it for a while. Then her face lit up with an idea. "I know! You can get me a Honda Element!"

I was Kidding! As you pointed out, the Honda Element would actually be your car. If I thought for a minute that simply asking for a new car would make it appear with a big bow for my birthday... I would have asked for a new car for ME!
I just love family fights. I just got stuck buying my wife an Eclipse Spider convertable. I must admit that it does really good on gas, as compared to my Dokota 4x4.
